In Light of the Queen Of Soul, Aretha Franklin, having to battle with cancer, I decided to repost a mix in which I featured one of her songs that is near and dear to me- it was my mom's favorite Aretha tune. "Spanish Harlem"
when I mix, I sometimes try to save the best for last. Her song is number 15 of this 19 song project.
Even so, "Rock Steady" happens to be one of my All Time Favorite Aretha Tunes.
I have an up- coming mix, "Bee Music" that will Feature 1 of the 3 versions of Rock Steady that I have in my music collection. which one?
I'll leave that up to turntable magic to decide.
My Prayers are With Aretha Franklin and Hopes that she can continue to win her fight, stay healthy and enjoy the rewards of her brilliant musical legacy.
